Anzu’s In-Game Ad Monetization Solution helps Nordcurrent, a leading mobile game developer, see an increase in revenue.
Anzu.io is the world’s leading in-game ad platform. Nordcurrent, a renowned publisher and developer for casual mobile games in the international market, has worked with Anzu.io to integrate in-game ads into Cooking Fever. This popular mobile simulation game is one of the top-rated mobile games.
Nordcurrent’s flagship game, Cooking Fever is an addictive time-management game that allows players to cook dishes from around the globe. Since its launch in 2014, it has had almost 400 million downloads, and 15 million active monthly users. The developer of the game worked with Anzu in order to integrate the ads into the gameplay. This allows advertisers to provide banner ads that complement the gaming experience, rather than take it away.
Nordcurrent reports that, despite the fact that in-game advertising placements were only introduced in April 2022 and now account for over 5% its total revenue, it has seen an immediate impact. Nordcurrent’s Cooking Fever has featured campaigns from top brands thanks to Anzu.
Nordcurrent’s in-game advertisements have also tripled ARPDAU in the US. In-game ad revenues outside the US have more than doubled, and the eCPM has increased by 4x.
Simonas Sturys is the Head of Marketing for Nordcurrent. He said, “The ads are easy to integrate, and they work well with our other monetization techniques within Cooking Fever.” We are eager to extend Anzu’s solutions to other titles after seeing the significant revenue impact from the ads.
Maor Wurembrand is the Director of Supply Growth at Anzu. He said: “It was great to work with Nordcurrent to bring intrinsic in-game ads to Cooking Fever – a highly regarded and well-known mobile title.” In-game advertising is a growing trend in the gaming industry. Developers are introducing it to well-known titles, to generate a reliable and consistent revenue.
They decided to incorporate the ads into their PC version after the success they had with the mobile version. The company has also worked with Anzu on updating all of their ad positions to support both video and display ads.
