It is no surprise that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been hailed by many as the best Nintendo Switch ever. Since its announcement at the E3 2019, the sequel to Breath Of The Wild has been eagerly anticipated by fans of all ages.
The game was released in May, and reviews described it as “a masterful journey” and “a new type of magic.”
Currys, a UK-based tech retailer, has used AI to recreate the characters from the popular franchise, which are loved and hated by many. The results were stunning.
1. Link: Knight and Champion of Hyrule
Link’s blonde hair and trademark pointed ears translate well to real life. He wears many outfits in ‘Breath of the Wild,’ but his Breath of the Wild Champion tunic blue and ‘Ocarina of Time” green are his most noticeable colours.
2. Princess Zelda
Princess Zelda appears primarily in memories in ‘Breath of the Wild,’ due to her being trapped in the Castle for 100 years. Zelda is seen in many different outfits throughout the game, but her official art, amiibo and most of the memories/cutscenes where she appears show her wearing a blue adventurer outfit.
3. Ganondorf
Calamity Ganon, or Ganon as he is also known in the game, is the main antagonist. He has been a powerful evil throughout Hyrule’s history. He appeared ten thousand years before ‘Breath Of The Wild’. The main antagonist in the human form of the series is Ganondorf. He has appeared as a simple monster, to a powerful Warlock throughout the games.
4. Beedle
Beedle, with his “Wow!” whenever you sell him an item and the ability to knock him down by bumping him and his backpack, is a mainstay of Breath of the Wild and rumour has it that he will return for Tears of the Kingdom as well. He has been a Zelda game merchant in many games.
5. Lady Riju Chief of the Gerudo
Lady Riju, the young Gerudo chief, is based in Gerudo Town. The women in this town are Amazonian, and they do not let Voes, also known as men, into their town. Link is forced to dress as a Vai, a woman. It is possible that Ganon was the last Gerudo male leader. Lady Riju, a young woman who takes her mother’s position after her untimely demise, is the new leader.
6. Sidon, Prince Zora
Sidon, Prince of Zora makes his debut in the Zelda series with ‘Breath Of The Wild’. He is said to have appeared in “Tears of the Kingdom” and helped Link reclaim the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. The Zora is an aquatic people who have amphibian and fish-like characteristics, such as fins, webbed toes and gills. This allows them to thrive and swim underwater.
7. A Bokoblin
Bokoblins, a common enemy in the Zelda series, can be found in a variety of colours on the Breath of the Wild map. The pig-snout and large ears make them instantly recognisable.
8. ChuChu
ChuChu, a gelatinous foe with many forms, is an enemy that can take on various shapes. ChuChu’s normal form is blue, but they also appear in ice, electric, and fire forms.
