Light & Wonder Inc. will bring new worlds to play for online players in Switzerland after signing a contract to launch their licensed OpenGaming aggregation platforms with top operator Grand Casino Luzern. Grand Casino Luzern, the market leader in Switzerland’s online casino market, has dominated it with its mycasino platform since August 2019 when it was launched.
Light & Wonder has signed its first deal in the fast-growing, regulated Swiss iGaming industry, which, according to the Swiss Federal Gaming Board, will produce GGR of 250 million dollars by 2022.
Grand Casino Luzern’s online brand mycasino will have access to a variety of entertaining and inspiring content, both from the studios in-house as well as those exclusively provided by Light & Wonder partners through OpenGaming. The first titles available will include 88 FORTUNES and RAGING RHINO, while more titles will be added over the next few months.
Light & Wonder’s first entry into the Swiss online casino market further strengthens its position in regulated European markets. The company has leveraged its success in land-based casinos to create top-performing gaming experiences on multiple platforms in partnership with a wide range of operators. Light & Wonder has a large presence in Switzerland with its games. This means that there is already a market for these games.
A number of studio M&As have been concluded to increase the scope and capabilities of its iGaming Content.
