The 2023 edition Game Developer Awards took place at the InterContinental Hotel, Malta, last night. Winners included Relax Gaming, AvatarUX and BGaming. Also, streamer Brian Christopher was among the list of winners.
The final day of the CasinoBeats Summit was closed by the award ceremony, which was hosted once again by Trudy Kirr and Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva. They presented 23 awards to the top companies, casino titles, and individuals in the following categories: Game Performances, Game Creations, Game Marketings, Game People, and SlotCatalog.

Relax Gaming’s winning streak continued this year with the Slot of the Year Award for Money Train 3 and SlotCatalog’s Game Studio of the Year – medium award. BGaming won both the Slot to Watch Award for Potion Spells as well as the Game Music/Soundtrack Award for Elvis Frog Trueways.
Barbara Bang won the Slot Debut Award for Mustang Freedom, and NetEnt was awarded the highly regarded Slot Legacy Title.
Brian Christopher, a casino streamer, had a great night. He was named Streamer of the year and also won Slot Collaboration of the year with Gaming Arts.
In the categories of game creation, Wazdan won the Game Feature Award for its work on Mystery Drop, and Playtech received the Game Licensed Content award for Cash Collect Gold Rush. Amusnet won the Game Retro-style award with Fruits & Gold. ELK Studios was awarded the Game Design & Arts Direction for Nitropolis 4.
Hannah Farrugia, AvatarUX’s Product Manager, won the award for her contribution to the company.
Justin Chamberlain, who designed games for HungryBear Gaming, and Iris Wallner from GAMOMAT were also recognized for their contributions.
SlotCatalog announced a number of awards for data-driven game studios. SlotCatalog’s award for Rookie of the Year went to Print Studios. Push Gaming won the SlotCatalog’s Game Studio of the Year – Small award. Play’n GO was awarded the SlotCatalog’s Game Studio of the Year – Large award.
Snowborn Games won the SlotCatalog Outperforming Game Studio Award – Small, Hacksaw Gaming was awarded the SlotCatalog Outperforming Game Studio Award – Medium, and Pragmatic Play received the SlotCatalog Outperforming Game Studio award – Large.
Nailed It! was voted the winner by the audience during the entire Thursday afternoon. Nailed It! won the prestigious Game Innovation Spotlight award, which was decided by a live audience vote throughout Thursday afternoon.
