Press Start, Sandsoft Games’ pioneering internship program, which is aimed at fostering and nurturing exceptional talent for the gaming industry in Saudi Arabia, has just launched its second season. The full-time internships are available to Saudi Arabian residents who have an interest in the games industry. They aim to nurture and develop exceptional talent in the gaming industry.
After the success of the initial Press Start initiative, which started in December 2022. Aspiring games industry professionals will be invited once again to embark on a journey of creating a mobile playable game within six months. The Press Start initiative is aligned with Vision 2030 and has been designed to foster diverse local talent as well as provide a boost for the regional games industry. Sandsoft’s industry leaders will provide support to the Press Start cohort in a variety of areas. This will allow them to specialize in either design, art or coding.
The selected applicants will be able to work at Sandsoft’s Riyadh Studio with the latest equipment and resources. Press Start is overseen and managed by a team of renowned games industry veterans, who have worked on acclaimed gaming franchises such as Candy Crush Saga. FIFA, World of Tanks. Need For Speed, etc., including Yahsir Qreshi, Sandsoft’s Head of Studio.

Press Start is available to Saudi individuals of any age or educational background, who are interested in game development. They must also be available to work in Riyadh. Applications will be accepted until July 7, 2023 at 23:59 AST.
